Longarm Quilting Services
An overview of the services available to finish your quilt are provided below. I have also included a checklist and copy of an intake form the we use to make sure your experience goes as smoothly as possible. If you have any additional questions you can contact me directly.
To get an overview of other customer’s quilts, I have provided photos in portfolio.
Edge-to-Edge
Pricing for edge-to-edge is $0.025 per square inch. To get an estimate for your quilt, multiply the width of your quilt by the length of your quilt to determine the number of square inches in your quilt. Then multiply that number by 0.025. That is the base price of your quilting.
I trim up quilts after I take them off the machine at no additional costs. If you DO NOT want trimmed, please let me know when you deliver your quilt.
There is a minimum flat fee of $50 for smaller quilts to the fixed costs of setup and processing.
Typical turnaround time is two weeks.
Custom Quilting
Pricing depends on how much custom quilting you want to bring your heirloom to life. Custom quilting can be added to borders only, individual blocks and sashing. For detailed highlighting, I drop the belts and add handquided details to individual sections of your quilt.
Pricing is discussed and agreed upon before loading your quilt. Typical costs for semi-custom (e.g., borders only and overall design for center) is $0.045 per inch. Overall custom designs start at $0.08 per inch.
Typical turn around time is two to three weeks.
Additional Services
To ease your workload in final preparations, I ovver a variety of services:
piecing your backing before loading onto the machine for $25 flat fee
adding prepared binding to your quilt on the front for hand stitching to the backing for $0.15 per linear inch
handstitching your binding to the backing for $.50 per linear inch
Batting
We carry Hobbs Heirloom Premium 80/20 batting and Hobbs Tuscany Collection 100 percent wool batting. Batting may be purchased from me to ensure quality results. Cost is $12 per yard.
If you are providing the batting it must be a minimum 4" larger than your quilt top all the way around.
Thread
I have an expansive assortment of quality Omni and Glide brand threads. With few exceptions I use the same color thread in the bobbin as used for the quilting. I also most often use Micro Quilter for stitch-in-the-ditch.
Quilting Design
I have thousands of patterns for you to choose from. Typically my clients either have a general idea or they leave it completely up to me.
I are happy to purchase patterns not in our library if you have a specific design in mind.
If you are a visual person, I able to mock up what your e2e pattern will look like for your approval before we start quilting.
